These are results from our HVAC work, and we show them for the management lessons behind them. None of them is a fractional CMO or COO case study, and none is a result in another sector. Each one, though, depends on a habit that a part-time executive brings to any Ontario company: a clear baseline, a few numbers watched closely, and the patience to keep a plan running long enough to work.

CombiBoiler.ca: measuring the return, not the activity
The scoreboard for CombiBoiler.ca: 300% ROI, 300+ monthly leads and 500+ page-1 rankings for combi-boiler keywords. The headline number is ROI, not traffic or clicks, and that's the point.
What transfers to a management seat:
- Agree the scoring rule first. Return on marketing spend was the measure from the start, so every decision could be judged against it.
- Volume and quality together. 300+ leads a month is only useful if the business can answer and quote them. That's where marketing meets operations, and why a fractional CMO cares about response times as much as campaigns.
- Depth over breadth. Hundreds of first-page rankings in one product category came from staying focused on it.
CanroHeat.ca: growth that operations has to absorb
CanroHeat.ca grew leads by 250%. Our work for CANRO Heat also included building GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division serving 26+ BC communities.
The management lesson is about capacity. When leads grow two- or threefold, the bottleneck moves from marketing to scheduling, quoting and follow-up. A company that plans for that, with clear handoffs and a weekly view of booked work, keeps the extra leads. One that doesn't tends to lose them to slower response times. That's exactly the gap a fractional COO is there to close before it opens.
HeatLand: a content plan run like an operation
Over six months, HeatLand saw a 300% lead increase, backed by a library of 850+ SEO articles. Publishing at that scale isn't a creative exercise; it's a production line with briefs, owners, deadlines and quality checks.
What transfers:
- A repeatable process beats bursts of effort. A steady weekly output, tracked on a scorecard, compounds.
- Every piece has an owner and a due date. The same discipline applies to quotes, job files or month-end reports.
- Results lag the work. Six months is a reasonable horizon for content; owners who judge it after six weeks often cancel too early.
HVACDeal.ca: cost per lead as a management number
HVACDeal.ca produced 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI. A ratio like that is only visible if spend and revenue are tracked against each other, lead by lead.
For an Ontario owner, the lesson is to put cost per lead and cost per customer on the weekly management scorecard, not in a quarterly agency report. When those numbers are in front of the leadership team every week, budget decisions get faster and better.
What these results don't show
They don't show results in your sector, and they don't promise any outcome. They show that the method works when a business commits to it in home services, a sector with seasonal demand, field crews, quotes and follow-up, which has more in common with many Ontario service and trade companies than it might seem.
Headline numbers also leave out the small tests any plan runs along the way. Part of a manager's job is to run small tests, end the ones that don't work and report them plainly.
Using these lessons in your company
Start by writing down three numbers: cost per lead, close rate and time from enquiry to quote. If you can't produce them for last quarter, that's the first fix, and it's usually a quick one.
From there, the operating review can show where your company's equivalent of these lessons applies, or the services page can help you pick a seat. The full set of case studies is on HVAC.Agency. To talk about your own numbers, call, text or email via the contact page.
Frequently asked questions
Are these results from fractional CMO or COO engagements?
They are results from our HVAC marketing work. We present them as evidence of the method and the measurement habits we bring to a management seat, not as fractional-executive case studies or results in other sectors.
Do you have results outside HVAC?
Ali has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai across his 17+ years, but the published, verifiable case studies are HVAC. We'd rather show you fewer real results than imply ones we can't link to.
Can you promise similar numbers for my company?
No. Results depend on your market, margins, team and starting point. What we commit to is a written baseline, agreed targets and an honest monthly report against them.
Where can I see the full case studies?
The full list is on HVAC.Agency's case studies page, and each client site is linked from this page so you can look at the live work yourself.
