Ontario.Management exists to give owner-managed Ontario companies senior marketing and operations leadership without a full-time executive hire. It's part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, which is Canadian and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. The work is led, and done, by Ali Sedighi, MBA.
The company and the group
We're a small brand inside a larger Canadian consulting group, and that's deliberate. Fractional management works best when the person in the seat is senior and stays the same from month to month. A small brand with one named lead makes that possible.
The group has two halves:
- Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company for growth, marketing and technology. BusinessConsulting.ca, HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency and Conv.ca are among its brands.
- SAZ.ca, the Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is a Canadian consulting firm focused on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, founded by Ali, who serves as its Founder and Managing Partner.
Ontario.Management applies that experience to one job: filling the marketing or operations seat in an Ontario company for a set number of hours a month. Our pricing follows BusinessConsulting.ca's published consulting rates; see pricing.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali has spent 17+ years building and running marketing and growth work, starting in 2007. That year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He holds an MBA in Technology Management.
Since then he has:
- founded Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca
- founded SAZ.ca, where he is Founder and Managing Partner
- built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca and CanroHeat.ca
- worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai
He lives and works in Vancouver. His longest track record is in home services, where marketing, sales and delivery collide every day; the results page shows what that work produced and what transfers to other sectors. You can read more on his Sedighi.ca profile.
How we work
Written outputs, a fixed rhythm and your accounts. Every engagement follows the same habits, whichever seat we fill:
- We write things down. Plans, process maps, vendor briefs and monthly notes are short documents you keep.
- We work from a weekly scorecard. The scorecard and cadence is either built first or built in the first month.
- Everything lives in your name. Ad accounts, analytics, software and documents belong to your company. We work in them with our own user access.
- We report honestly. If a test fails, the monthly note says so and what we'll change.
- We stay in our lane. No HR, legal, accounting, tax or financing advice. When a decision needs those, we say so and bring in the right professional.
What fractional means here
A fractional executive is a part-time member of your leadership team, not a vendor with a project list. In practice that means:
- a defined set of responsibilities, written down, such as "owns the marketing plan, budget and vendors"
- a defined number of hours a month, reviewed every quarter
- a standing meeting with the owner and, usually, the team leads
- the authority, granted by you, to brief vendors and hold team leads to agreed targets
Hiring, pay, discipline and employment terms stay with you. Strategy and capital decisions stay with you. The seat takes over the management work in between, which is where most owners lose their week.
Our positioning
We advise and manage; we don't execute everything ourselves and we don't sell software. Where execution is needed, such as a new website or ad management, some can fit inside a retainer. Larger work is briefed to a vendor you choose and own, and we manage that vendor against targets. That keeps you free to change any supplier, including us.
If you'd rather pay on results than on a monthly fee, the group's performance-based Growth Partner Program is explained in detail on our sister site Ontario.Partners. Otherwise, the services page explains the four ways to start, and you can call, text or email any time from the contact page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Ontario.Management a staffing agency?
No. We don't place employees or recruit executives. Ali works in the CMO or COO seat himself, part-time, under a consulting agreement with your company.
Who will actually do the work?
Ali Sedighi. He is the only named person on this site and the one you'll meet, plan with and report to. Where a specialist vendor is needed, such as a web developer, you choose and own that relationship.
Why is a Vancouver-based group working in Ontario?
Because the management work itself, planning, meetings, documents and dashboards, doesn't depend on being in the same building. We plan around Ontario's regions and work on Eastern time when you need us to.
What won't you advise on?
HR and employment matters, legal questions, accounting and tax, financing and securities. We'll tell you when a decision needs one of those professionals and work alongside them.
